1 Pam McCutcheon A Little Something Extra (More Than Men) (Harlequin American Romance, No 614)
Harlequin 1995 0373166141 / 9780373166145 Paperback Very Good
0373166141 0373166141 Editorial Reviews Review As an investigative reporter who specializes in debunking self-professed mystics and magicians, P.J. Sheridan has seen almost enough phony mysticism to give up her dream of ever witnessing true magic. And meeting Connor O'Flaherty doesn't help. This extraordinary hunk of an Irishman expects her to believe he's a leprechaun. Not just a leprechaun, mind you, but King of the leprechauns-- or the Fae, as he says. But a 90's kind of faerie, one complete with Wall Street investments and private jets. Once she hears Connor's bizarre tale, P.J. makes up her mind to get as far away as she can from this phony. Only she can't. Connor offers to hire her. He wants her to investigate his company's claim that the custom shoes they create contain magic. At the same time, he needs her help to recover his sister's talisman. P.J.'s on the verge of telling Mr. King of the Leprechauns to take a hike, but she needs the money and, she has to admit to herself, she enjoys spending time with this gorgeous man. Besides, she thinks, it won't hurt her bank account to get four or five different articles out of this adventure. For his part, Connor finds himself smitten with this lovely skeptic. Too smitten. He shouldn't be within a million miles of P.J. Sheridan. Even with all the magic at his disposal, Connor can't change the one thing most important. P.J.'s a mortal, and as King of the Fae, Connor's sworn to marry one of his own. P.J. may be the best thing that's ever happened to him, but she won't be in his life for long.Absolutely darling! Ms. McCutcheon does a masterful job of creating magic in our everyday world! I'd take this leprechaun any day, with or without his pot o' gold! Witty dialog that reads like sword play, a charming cast of characters-- even, fast-paced action. A Little Something Extra has it all! Just the thing for a lazy day in front of the fire! You may not believe in the faerie folk before you read Pam McCutcheon's latest, but you will once you're done!Annette Carney -- Copyright ?
